The Birth of Aquarius Motorhomes

Before Aquarius Motorhomes was born, the company imported motorhomes into Australia from the US company Coachmen RV. Unlike the ‘popular’ American motorhomes however, Coachmen Motorhomes Australia focused on creating a luxury A-Class motorhome for the more discerning and environmentally-friendly Australian adventure enthusiast.

The American Divide

When Coachmen RV USA split their business in 2009, Coachmen Motorhomes took the opportunity to bring forth a new era for the luxury motorhome in Australia.

Working in collaboration with the special vehicle section of All American Specialty Vehicles LLC, we created a premium, top-of-the-line luxury motorhome that catered for the Australian market. We sharpened up features, individually bay-built and custom-designed the motorhome and christened it the Aquarius – a truly Australian-built luxury motorhome for Australian conditions. Comfort, Style and Performance in a Truly Australian-made Motorhome

Australia is a shifting kaleidoscope of extreme weather conditions so we redesigned the motorhome to be your safe haven from anything Mother Nature throws your way. A truly Australian motorhome needs to be able to weather the torrential rains of Queensland but it also needs to be able to carry you through the harsh desert heat of Central Australia. Or cross the 1,000+ kilometres of the Nullarbor Plain where petrol stations are few and far between. We invested a significant amount of effort to ensure the highest quality motorhomes that could make any interstate trip extremely enjoyable, safe and comfortable.

A new class of luxury motorhomes provided inspiration for the name of a new era, a new company and a new, distinct brand. Aquarius Motorhomes takes a giant leap forward from the well-known ‘American’ style of motorhome because we understand that in Australia, due to our vast distances and harsh climate you need more…. More features, more performance, and most importantly more luxury.

As the only Australian manufacturers of A-Class motorhomes, we wanted to be sure that our motorhomes live up to Australian standards. We ensured Australian 240V wiring and included top-quality appliances that will not let you down. We ensured self-sufficiency and a low carbon footprint including solar panels and dual fuel engines using LPG and petrol. We spent time and energy focusing on the little details too, such as curved bamboo cabinets designed by the world famous Hector Coronado and careful choice of neutral tones and luxury materials to ensure a comfortable, European-style of interior design.
